Community Activists Programme
Are you aged between 16-35 years old? Then our flagship training is for you!
Our flagship 6-week training program empowers young leaders (16–35) to turn passion into impact. Through online sessions with MPs, change leaders, and political activists, participants gain skills in community organising, campaigning, communications, and safeguarding. The program offers mentorship, peer networks, and speaking opportunities at 1987 Committee events, creating a pipeline of diverse leaders ready to shape politics and drive change locally and nationally

Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of diverse leaders in politics, business, and public life?
The 1987 Committee Mentoring and Speaking Series connects experienced professionals, changemakers, and thought leaders with emerging activists and aspiring politicians. Through honest conversations, mentoring sessions, and inspirational talks, we aim to empower the next wave of leaders to drive meaningful change and representation in British politics.
If you’re an MP, councillor, policy leader, campaigner, or professional with a story to share and lessons to pass on, we’d love to hear from you.

The 1987 Committee is powered by passionate volunteers and supporters who believe in diversity, equity, and opportunity for all. Whether you can give a few hours a month or lend your expertise to specific projects, your contribution helps us host impactful events, mentor future leaders, and amplify the voices of underrepresented communities.
